What is the clear adhesive credit card companies use to stick credit cards to? It looks like a reusable goop.?

When you get your credit card, you remove it from the paper backing only to find some sort fo adhesive there. What's awesome is that you could remove the adhesive from thec ard and the piece of paper without damaging the paper itself.
